Aviation sockets are electromechanical components connected to circuits, so the electrical parameters of industrial equipment mainly include rated voltage, rated current, withstand voltage, contact resistance, mechanical life, operating temperature, flame retardancy, protection level, etc. The electrical parameters of the aviation socket itself are the first thing to consider.
1. The rated voltage is also called the working voltage. When it is lower than the rated voltage, it mainly depends on the insulating material used in the aviation socket and the distance between the contact pairs. Usually operates normally.
2. Rated current is also called operating current. Like the rated voltage, aviation plugs and sockets can generally work normally when the current is lower than the rated current. Excessive current may cause a short circuit, so please pay special attention.
3. Voltage resistance refers to the ability of the mutually insulated parts of the contact pair to withstand a critical voltage higher than the rated voltage without causing damage within a specified time. Or between the insulating part and the ground, that is, the peak value of the instantaneous voltage that the product can withstand. If this voltage is exceeded, the machine will be damaged.
4. Contact resistance refers to the resistance produced by two contact conductors at the contact part.
5. Mechanical life, that is, the number of times the aviation socket can be continuously plugged and unplugged. The more times, the better the performance, usually 500--1000 times.
6. The working temperature is the temperature range in which the product can be used normally, generally -40--80. Within this temperature range, the equipment can work normally.
7. Any aviation socket cannot cut off the current when it is working, and there is a risk of fire. Therefore, aviation plugs and sockets are not only required to prevent fire, but also need to be able to self-destruct in a short time once a fire occurs. Please pay attention to the selection of aviation sockets using flame-retardant and self-extinguishing insulation materials.
8. Aviation sockets are generally divided into non-waterproof IP44 and waterproof IP65 or IP67 according to different use environments. There are waterproof or non-waterproof requirements for the protection level.
