In the process of producing Remo connectors, some inferior products will always be produced. In order to ensure that the quality of the connector meets the standards, it is time to test the Remo connector quality inspection of the Remo connector manufacturer. So what are the quality inspection requirements for Lemo connectors? Come and take a look.
1. Structural dimensions:
The shape and size of the Remo connector is very important, because there will be certain space restrictions at the connector of the product, especially the connector on the single board cannot come into contact with other components. According to the usage space and installation location, choose the appropriate installation method, including front installation and rear installation. Installation and fixing methods include screws, clips, rivets or fasteners on the connector itself, with shapes including straight, curved, T-shaped, round and square.
2. Resistor matching:
General signal transmission has no special requirements for the resistance of Remo connectors, but radio frequency signals have very strict requirements for resistance matching. Mismatching of resistance will cause signal reflection, thus affecting signal transmission.
3. Shielding:
With the development of electronic products, electromagnetic compatibility has received more and more attention. Remo connectors must have a metal shell, the cable must have a shield, and the shield must be connected to the metal shell to achieve the shielding effect. However, the connector can also be coated with copper by injection molding, and the shield can be soldered to the copper.
4. Reliability:
Remo connectors are used to connect signals, so the connector must ensure its reliability. For example, surface contact is better than point contact, pinhole type is better than leaf spring type, etc.
5. Universality:
When producing Remo connectors, try to consider their versatility, especially between products of the same series. The highly versatile connector design can reduce material types and reduce costs and risks.
6.Durability:
Some Remo connectors are used in very complex environments, among which high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, salt resistance, and mildew resistance are common important indicators. Remo connectors are required to perform stably and adapt to complex environments, otherwise they may not work well and may cause damage.
Corrosion caused by oxidation or galvanizing can reduce the current carrying capacity of Remo connectors, causing intermittent circuit failure and eventually permanent failure. The primary cause of Remo connector failure in harsh environments is often galvanic corrosion, a process in which dissimilar metals collect electrons in the presence of an electrolyte, usually water.
While many Remo connectors are designed for use in harsh environments, the lifespan of the wires, insulators, gaps in the plastic housing and pins, and other leakage paths (even tiny holes) is often limited by corrosion factors. Corroded connectors can cause intermittent failures in their circuits before they completely fail, which can lead to downtime and increased maintenance costs.
Harsh environments where Remo connectors are commonly used include automotive, military, aircraft, aerospace and outdoor industries. The lubricants and coolants used to keep automated assembly lines running can corrode plastic insulation. Steam and caustic chemicals often used to clean some food processing equipment can also corrode plastic insulation. Especially in shipping and marine applications, sea salt can further accelerate corrosion of Remo connectors.
