1. Stamping
The manufacturing process of push-pull self-locking connectors generally starts with stamping pins and is processed by using some large-scale high-speed stamping machines. Connector stamping (pins) is made by stamping thin metal strips. One end of the large roll of metal strip can be fed into the front end of the stamping machine, and the other end needs to pass through the hydraulic system workbench of the stamping machine and be wound into the take-up pulley. 2. Electroplating
The stamping of push-pull self-locking connector pins should be sent to the part for electroplating processing. 3. Injection molding
The plastic box seat of the push-pull self-locking connector is made in the injection molding stage. Usually this process involves injecting molten plastic into a metal mold film and then rapidly cooling it to form. So-called "leakage" occurs when the molten plastic does not completely fill the membrane. This is a typical defect that needs to be detected during the injection stage. Other defects include filling or partial blockage of the terminal socket (which must be kept clear and clean to allow contact with the pins during assembly. Correct fit), machine vision systems for quality inspection after injection molding are relatively simple and easy, as box seat leaks and plug holes can be identified using backlighting.
4. Assembly
The later stage of the push-pull self-locking connector is to assemble the finished product. There are two ways to connect the electroplated pins to the base of the injection box: individual plugging or combined plugging. Single plugging is to plug in one pin at a time, and combined plugging is a combination of inserting multiple pins into the box base at the same time. In either case, the manufacturer requires that all pins be checked for holes and correctly positioned during the assembly phase. Another routine task is to measure the distance between the mating surfaces of the connector.
As in the stamping stage, the assembly of push-pull self-locking connectors also poses a challenge to automated inspection systems in terms of inspection speed. While most assembly lines run at one or two pieces per second, vision systems often need to complete multiple different inspection items for each camera's connector.
